Snack
The centre follows the NHS Guidance ‘Setting the Table’. Our snack is a range of fresh seasonal fruit with milk or water.
Healthy snacks are considered in all our activities including birthday celebrations, Christmas parties etc. As such when the children have a birthday we provide a Special Birthday Box (A card & book of children’s choice) and try to discourage Birthday Cakes.
In partnership with Ayrshire & Arran Department of Dental Health promotion, all children are provided with a toothbrush for cleaning teeth.
Allergens:
At your child’s Pre-Admission Visit, we will ask if your child has any allergies and we will gather all relevant information on this. We will then ask you to complete the relevant forms so that the catering team can offer your child alternative meals. If you wish to speak to the LEYC team about your child’s allergies before the PAV then please just contact the centre. Any child with an allergen will have a name card made up for the snack and lunch room so that all staff are aware of any allergies. Please see the meal allergen chart here: EY Allergens 24-25
