Tommy is a teacher who has worked with learning technology for some 30 years since its introduction in schools in the early 1980s. As an Education Officer in Midlothian over the past twelve years, he has developed the use of new technology to support learning. Managing a team of teachers, specialist staff and technicians, he has both a strategic and operational roll to enrich learning and teaching in Midlothian schools.  As a CEOP Ambassador he works alongside Police Officers in the Lothians to encourage young people to adopt a safer approach to their lives online. He also trains teachers, police officers, social workers, parents and carers about new technology and how it is being used by predators to target young people.
