This paper reviews the learner engagement model in primary school. “This study demonstrates how LGBT-inclusive education can serve dual pedagogical purposes by addressing social justice education and facilitating students’ social and emotional learning during middle childhood. The findings offer educators, policymakers, and SEL practitioners an empirically grounded model for integrating diversity curricula with transformative social-emotional learning to create safer, more inclusive school spaces for students.”
