Welcome to Discovering Mathematics

The fear of maths is something which is in many people, but maths is something which is in our entire world. Whether we wish to accept it or not, maths is all around us. It is in the architecture around us, the baking we love to smell and even in the shells found on the sandy beaches. Through counting, shapes, patterns and many more skills we can explore maths. Maths is fun. Here I will blog about my learning and reflections on the very fascinating subject of maths.

Eportfolio Transition

I believe there was a rather unanimous view towards the Blackboard Eportfolio. Fear and frustration. It gave both students and lecturers a great deal of irritation. Although, with the introduction of the glow Eportfolio, we can now feel at ease. Students are able to take the hard work and reflections they do with them throughout their years at University onto their career rather than losing it after graduating. This new upgrade also allows students within the Education course to view each others reflections and posts which provides more interesting views to different subjects. Despite the challenging technical side of the new Eportfolio there is a great deal of support and encouragement available. This new transition to glow is vital to positively reflect and share on the learning developed throughout the years.
