CPL Opportunity – Loss and Bereavement – 20th May

Glasgow Educational Psychology Service and the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice are providing a free full day training on loss, grief and bereavement.  The training will focus on the most up-to-date and relevant psychological theories, how to apply these ideas in practice and hearing from guest speakers.

The training will take place on Monday 20th May 9:00am-16:00pm at the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice.

Wee Minds Matter is the Infant Mental Health service in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, we are keen to share with you some information about our service.  We have organised some lunchtime information sessions over MS teams which will explore infant mental health, what our service can offer and how to refer to this service. CPL Opportunity – The LCFE Journey – 24th and 30th April

Are you beginning or thinking about beginning your journey to become a Language and Communication Friendly Establishment?  Then join Cloverbank Nursery and their SLT and EP colleagues in one of two Open Doors sessions which will explain their journey and provide lots of helpful tips for your own journey.

Sessions are open to GCC nurseries in the NW who are thinking of beginning their LCFE journey, in mentoring or who are thinking about getting ready for accreditation.  The session will be run twice to accommodate access. Please book using CPD Manager. Places are limited to 20 per session so book early.

Think Equal – Social and emotional learning programme (GCC) – 19th March, 4pm

British Airways has provided funding for Think Equal Level 1 in every Council nursery throughout Glasgow. The funding from BA is specifically directed towards the Think Equal programme for 3-4 year olds citywide, aiming to contribute to providing the children in the city with the best possible start in life. This is a great opportunity to access an evidence-based programme, including all the resources and training, for free. CPL Opportunity – Inclusion Support and Development Groups

INCLUSION SUPPORT AND DEVELOPMENT GROUPS 2023-24

Please click on the links below for further information about registering for this year’s Inclusion Support and Development group sessions. The sessions are led by an EP and SLT and are focused on developing practitioner’s skills in including children with additional support needs. Participants will get the opportunity to attend six sessions across the year with peers, to engage in professional discussions, and to learn from invited professionals in sessions which are tailored to suit the group’s needs. Please note these sessions tend to be very popular and are limited to 25 participants per area. Please apply for the group in your area.
