The Mathematics Department aims:

  • To enable pupils to develop to their full potential, the mathematical skills and understanding required for their personal needs both in and out of school.
  • To prepare pupils for the future demands of adult life and employment.
  • To encourage the desire for lifelong learning.

The main purpose of this Blog is to provide a resource for students at all levels.  Our hope is to develop our pages to become a toolkit for students from S1-S6 as well as providing information to parents/carers on how to support each young person at home.

The Maths Department partake in several extra curricular activities that aim to support and enhance the Maths learning experience.

Maths Support is available in the Maths department each Monday after school from 3.45pm. – 4.30pm. It is a great opportunity for students to receive extra support with not just homework but any revision required. Maths support sessions are flexible and pupils can drop in when necessary.

ALL S4-S6 are invited to supported study sessions each week after school.  Supported Study is strongly recommended for all students and provides extra preparation for exams.  During these sessions students can work through exam revision materials or ask for support with any classwork/homework.
