Gambling- Invisible Addiction Podcast

Each episode will treat you to a natural conversation about problem gambling, with personal stories and guest interviews. You will hear from industry experts, psychologists, campaigners, people in recovery and those from the education, research and treatment sectors. The first episode of series one is about young people in schools and gambling

This resource will help everyone involved in delivering sexual health and relationships education to those with an autism spectrum disorder by:

  • giving autism-specific advice aimed primarily, but not exclusively, at mainstream secondary school staff to encourage innovative, individualised and creative teaching;
  • giving guidance on the different approaches that can be taken to support individuals with an autism spectrum disorder;
  • suggesting activities which are designed so that they can and should be tailored to meet the needs of the young people involved using the practitioners’ professional judgements and knowledge of the young people;
  • supporting education professionals to work in partnership with other professionals, parents and families to ensure the best possible outcomes for young people;
  • sign-posting useful and reliable sources of information and further help, such as publications and key organisations.

Powerpoint slides on typical responsibilities of young children. Can be used to initiate discussion. Last slide is activity for children to write/draw their own responsibilities at home or school. They could also think of a new responsibility which they would like to have. Includes role-play cards. A free sign up is required to download resources

This resource outlines an assembly for early years children which uses the book The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister to teach young children about the importance of sharing and friendship. There are also planners showing how the book can be used as a nursery to primary transition project.
