Careers in Construction
Too often Construction is seen in terms of building, joinery, plumbing……In fact Construction affects every single person’s lives from the construction of hospitals at birth, schools through early life, homes to live in, places of work and places of worship. This then encompasses a vast range of disciplines from planning and design, architecture, restoration, project management, surveying, engineering and environmental studies.
Please join us to hear from Construction Professionals about their career journey as well as meet some of the most high profile employers and education providers for the sector. During the networking session you can gather more information to take away with you to form substantive careers literature to share with your students. The event will be filmed and therefore a DVD will be available to those who attend after the event and this is another tool you can use in your own school within the curriculum at a time that suits you and to a variety of age ranges ensuring all your students are aware of the exciting careers available to them in the Built Environment.
