CIC Evidence Papers

As part of Phase 1 of the Curriculum Improvement Cycle, Education Scotland reviewed evidence and feedback on how Scotland’s curriculum is working in practice for children and young people in order to identify areas for closer focus. This drew on a wide range of sources, including independent reviews of Curriculum for Excellence international research, practitioner and stakeholder insight, and evidence gathered through curriculum review activity. To support this process, a series of background and evidence papers were commissioned across curriculum areas. Together, these papers provide a summary of current evidence and emerging thinking to support professional reflection, discussion and curriculum development.
