Explainer 1 for Teachers and Practitioners
Explainer 2 for Teachers and Practitioners
This document is the second explainer guide for Scotland’s Curriculum Improvement Cycle (CIC). It introduces early drafts of two key resources being developed as part of a 10-year programme to strengthen the Scottish curriculum:
- “Building Scotland’s Curriculum”: A draft digital resource designed to replace older guidance series, streamline policy, and support curriculum design.
- Draft Know-Do-Understand (KDU) Model Samples: Examples showing how the curriculum is shifting away from traditional Experiences and Outcomes (Es and Os) and Benchmarks toward a structured framework focused on what learners need to Know, Do, and Understand.
