The first meeting of the Technologies Collaboration Group will take place online on 15th May 2025. This will be followed by a face to face meeting on 29th May 2025.
Information
Members of the Collaboration Group are asked to watch the following overview and provocation presentations prior to the 29th May meeting in order to maximise the time for discussion on the day.
- All participants should watch the Curriculum Improvement Cycle Overview videos. This will provide everyone with an overview of the Curriculum Improvement Cycle process and position.
- Provocation videos have been organised by subject area: Business Education, Computing Science and Craft, Design, Engineering and Graphics.
- Participants should also take time to explore the latest statistics around their subject area using our interactive dashboard. The data in this dashboard comes from SQA.
Carrying Out This Activity Locally
*THIS PERIOD OF CONSULTATION IS NOW CLOSED*
We cannot have everyone who wishes to contribute to the work in the Technologies collaboration group in the same place, however we would encourage departments, schools, local authority subject networks to engage with the process. As such, you can use the resources on this page and the feedback board links to add your thoughts.
If you do wish to carry out a local consultation, please do so before the end of June 2025.
We recommend that you play the short video introduction from Kirsty McFaul at the start of any event to set the scene. You may wish to print out the handouts to stimulate discussion and/or use/edit the slides from the day.

Explore Senior Phase Data
Take some time to explore the SQA data relating to the various Technologies related qualifications in the senior phase. Our interactive visualisations will illustrate entries and attainment over time for every National Qualification and National Progression Award. You are able to select qualifications by name, type, SCQF level and view the results broken down by presenting establishment type and gender.
Are there any emerging patterns that might influence / should be considered during the review process?
