Each June, the Head Teacher compiles perspectives and evidence from all stakeholders to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the school’s performance against the HGIOS4 indicators outlined in the government publication “How Good is Our School?”. This process involves utilising various methods such as questionnaires and focus groups to gather valuable insights.
Subsequently, we utilise this evaluation to strategise for the upcoming year, aligning our plans with the priorities set forth by the school, council, and national educational directives. Our dedicated staff collaboratively contribute to the development of this plan, demonstrating a shared commitment to enhancing the learning journey for the children of Bower.
In the previous year, our efforts resulted in notable advancements, particularly in literacy , numeracy and health and wellbeing, facilitated by the incorporation of Play Pedagogy into our curriculum. Additionally, we embarked on the journey towards achieving our Bronze award as a Right Respecting School, underscoring our dedication to fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where the rights of every individual are respected and upheld.
