Sacred Heart Teachers go back to School!
The staff of Sacred Heart Primary took part in training with Dorothy Ann Ardrey from ‘Focus on Food Scotland’. They increased their knowledge of safe preparation of foods and techniques to share with the children.
Lochgilphead Primary 7’s – International Schools Meals Day
The 33 P7s in Ms Craven’s class have been planting chickpeas and learning about the food and culture of Cyprus.
The lovely dinner ladies decorated the canteen and made tasting pots of hummus and moussaka. The kids all took home their planted chickpeas and a recipe card for hummus (minus the tahini ingredient as difficult to buy in Lochgilphead!).

Cardinal Newman Food for Thought launch 10th January
An Interdisciplinary Project with Business IT, Food Technology, St Andrews Hospice and Warburtons will build capacity of S1 learners encouraging educated food choices. Challenged to design a healthy food product for athletes, learners explore new products on the market, careers in the food industry, product development ,sustainability, marketing and promotion.
