P3

Hello!

Primary 3 started the new term with the Easter assembly. We spent time learning songs and practising our words and all our hard work paid off!

Our new topic is the Polar Regions and we will be learning about the animals, climate and land in the Arctic and Antarctic. We will be looking at current news to enable our discussions about how global warming affects these regions and what steps we can take to help. Part of our learning will be to complete a booklet about Polar Explorers at home and it would be wonderful if parents could help us carry out research online or using books.

During science we will be exploring the structures of the human body and looking at how we can keep ourselves fit and healthy.

We lined up in order of height and then age to find out if there would  be a difference!

We will be carrying out experiments to find out what materials make effective insulators and how to waterproof materials.

In maths we are focusing on measurement and in literacy we will be writing imaginative pieces about polar explorers.

Thank you for reading our blog!
