Dear Parent(s)/Guardian,

I hope you are all doing well and staying safe.

I would like to introduce myself; my name is Mrs Kaur and I am your child’s Primary 2 teacher. As you know Mrs Smith is now on maternity leave. She is well and healthy with a baby boy.

I have included some new work for your child to do if they have completed their previous work. If they haven’t, please don’t worry or stress. The circumstances are understandably tough, but we’re all here and in this together; we will get through this.

Some activities you can do with your child or have them do on their own:

Math Activities on Sumdog https://pages.sumdog.com/ Children should have a logon. If not, sign up for free.
Read books with your child or use your imagination and make one up. Have fun and act them out if you’d like.
Write a daily or weekly journal with your child of what they got up to during the day or week.
Bake with your child.
Go for walks.
Most importantly, love your child. They are probably just as stressed as you are during this time. They sometimes need reassurance from their grownup at home.
