P1b enjoyed writing sentences about Space. We focussed on describing words as well as using capital letters, finger spaces and full stops.

This week P1 have started a new topic all about Space and Robots. The children learnt about the Moon, Sun and Planet Earth. We enjoyed exploring 2d shape to make our own robots. In literacy we used describing words to write about Robots, explaining what they can do.

What a fantastic end to term 2 in primary 1b. We have had a fun filled week enjoying lots of festivities.

Lights! Camel! Action! Primary 1b were outstanding as they performed the annual nativity. They sang, danced and acted their way through rehearsals and shows and “wowed” their audience who clapped, cheered and laughed.
In literacy the children consolidated their tricky words and sounds. We also practised CVC words using the 5 finger spelling strategy. Take a look at our fabulous letter formation and magnetic board work.

This week primary 1b have worked incredibly hard in numeracy. We enjoyed exploring addition using concrete materials and practised writing sums
using the mathematical symbols + and =.
This week in P1b we
started our new IDL topic of Superheroes in the playroom. The children took part in a range of activities including role play, mask designing, exploring kinetic electricity and building a new superhero headquarters.
Last week we finished our Room on the Broom topic in the playroom. We enjoyed a range of activities including making our own potions then writing about them.

P1b enjoyed some Halloween Strictly come dancing last week. We tried our best to copy each routine in time with the Halloween themed music.
