This week P2/1 have been learning all about halves. We had a go at halving shapes and numbers. To split a number in half we had to make sure both of our robots got the same number of cubes for a snack.

Exploring the NHS
In the playroom, we have been exploring the NHS-we have taken part in role play as doctors, created healthy meals, sorted food into food groups, explored the opticians, made our own glasses, measured out amounts and taken part in lots of experiments. 
Zoo Lab
P2/1 had the best time learning all about different animals and habitats. Some of us even had a go at petting or holding the animals

Common words
P2/1 have had lots of fun this week practicing our tricky words and we had a go at building sentences.
Common and CVC words
P2/1 have had lots of practice making Cvc Words and reading our common words.
Peer Reading
P2/1 have been having a go at peer reading. This is where we read our reading book to one of our friends to help with fluency. P2/1 loved discussing their books!
All about Money
P2/1 have been learning all about money. We have identified the different coins and used strategies to add them to find a total.
