In S1 and 2 young people will study all three discrete sciences (biology, chemistry and physics) over 10 topics. These topics incorporate skills development including experiments, literacy, numeracy and presentations.
The topics studied are
S1
Acids and Alkalis (Current S2 will study in S2)
Forces and Space
Matter and Heat
Planet Earth
Reproduction and Inheritance
S2
Body Systems and Defenses
Chemical Reactions
Electricity
Substances (Current S2 studied in S1)
Waves
During S2 young people will have the opportunity to select at least one discrete science to study in S3 and beyond based on their interests, enjoyment, career path and strengths.
