Welcome to Week 4 of our Elmer Transition Project.
We are very proud of all the hard work you have all been doing, we are really enjoying seeing all your efforts.
Here are some special challenges.
- Feelings
Why was Elmer sad at the beginning of the story? Why doesn’t he like being different?
Use the feelings fan to talk about your feelings.
2. Elmer Starts School
Read the story book about Elmer’s First Day at school. How was he feeling?
Talk about the things that happened in the story.
What does Elmer do to get ready for starting school?
What things happen at school?
Is there anything you are excited or nervous about?
3. Teacher Challenge
The P1 teachers are setting a challenge for all the children. Can you take your jumper off by yourself? Why not practise getting ready for gym too!
When you can do this, put a sticker on your chart!
