A Short Week in P7

This week has been a short one in P7b, but there has still been lots of exciting learning taking place!

In literacy, we focused on cause-and-effect conjunctions, expanding our WW2 sentences by adding more detailed information about the war. We also linked this to our prior learning on technical language, using subject specific vocabulary to uplevel our writing even further.

For Diversity Day, we explored the blurb of Boy at the Back of the Class and discussed the challenges and strengths presented in the text. This led to thoughtful conversations about empathy, inclusion and resilience. We then created our own “diversity shields,” highlighting our backgrounds, what makes us unique and our individual strengths.

In maths, we transformed nets into 3D objects. We were able to identify, construct and match 3D shapes to their corresponding nets, applying our knowledge of properties and spatial awareness.

Well done to P7b for their continued effort and enthusiasm!
