Primary 7b Wallacewell Primary

Happy Holidays Everyone!

This week in P7B, we completed our learning on symmetry, developing skills in identifying lines of symmetry, reflecting shapes across axes, and using accurate measuring and drawing techniques. We have now moved on to 3D shape, where we revisited prior knowledge of the properties of 3D shapes, including faces, edges and vertices. Next week, we will be moving on to making and recognising nets of 3D shapes.

In writing, we explored technical language and how to uplevel our sentences. We completed this in preparation for our upcoming assessed piece of writing. Next week, we will begin planning our writing, bringing together technical language, cause and effect conjunctions, and time connectives.

In our interdisciplinary learning, we learned about Alan Turing and how his codebreaking helped end World War II two years earlier than expected and saved many lifes. We also completed some coding of our own and linked this learning to our spelling tasks.

Have a lovely long weekend!
