For numeracy this week, we completed our learning on 2D shapes and have now moved on to exploring symmetry across four quadrants. We will be finishing this learning next week before moving on to 3D shapes.

In writing, we transferred our learning from our topic on WWII evacuees to create flow charts showing the evacuation process. This is helping us build our understanding in preparation for our upcoming assessment, where we will be writing an explanation text about the WWII evacuations.

During reading this week, we took on key roles which rotated daily, including summariser, clarifier and questioner. We independently summarised their texts, identified new vocabulary and meanings, and created literal, inferential and evaluative questions to deepen their understanding.

In PE, we have now moved on to gymnastics and this week focused on developing skills in jumps and rolls. A reminder that our PE days are Wednesday and Thursday.
