Primary 7b Wallacewell Primary

Our Week in P7b

This week, we have been learning about patterns and relationships. We explored Fibonacci sequences, triangular numbers, square numbers, as well as factors and multiples. We then moved on to chance and probability, learning and using the vocabulary likely, unlikely, impossible, certain and even chance. Pupils were encouraged to use correct mathematical language when discussing their ideas.

As part of our explanation writing this term, we began our writing preparation on How a Volcano Erupts. We broke the process into clear steps and identified key technical vocabulary to support our writing.

In topic, we are learning about World War II. The class completed WW2-inspired art based on the Clydebank Blitz and shared family stories linked to the war. In the afternoon, we continued reading The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, which links closely to our WW2 topic.
