This week, we visited the Wallacewell Monument to support our poetry writing. Primary 7 have entered the Lord Provost’s Poetry Competition, with the theme “My Hidden Glasgow.” We chose to focus on something meaningful and unique to our school community.
Our poetry centred on the use of the senses, and we gathered ideas both prior to and during our walk. Pupils worked hard to bring their writing to life by incorporating a range of imagery techniques, including personification, similes, metaphors and onomatopoeia.
We had a lovely trip together, creating special memories in our final year together.
