Primary 7b Wallacewell Primary

Shape, Writing & PE

This week in P7B, we have moved on to learning about shape. Our initial focus has been on 2D shapes, including polygons and quadrilaterals. We have been using resources such as compasses and protractors to explore key concepts including diameter, radius and angles.

The class did exceptionally well in their spelling tests this week. We practise spelling daily, focusing on a range of skills such as diacritical marking, syllabification, dictionary work, and using our spelling words in context within sentences. In literacy, we completed our explanation texts on How a Volcano Erupts. We broke the process into clear steps and ensured we used appropriate technical vocabulary, including molten rock, eruption and crater.

This term, we have completed Scottish country dancing in PE and will now be moving on to gymnastics. A reminder that our PE days are Wednesday and Thursday.
