This week has been full of active learning, thoughtful discussions, and developing our skills across a range of subjects. Here are some of the highlights and key learning points from our activities:
We stayed active in PE by continuing our series of rounders matches. This helped us improve our teamwork, coordination, and understanding of game tactics.
Our reading skills continued to develop as we started a new reading journal. We focused on presenting our ideas clearly and showing our understanding of what we have read through thoughtful responses.
In maths, we continued learning about measuring mass and built on this by converting between different units. This helped us understand how measurements link together and how to apply this knowledge to real-life situations.
We also kept up with our spelling programme, helping us improve our accuracy and confidence in writing.
In French, we took part in a lesson linked to the World Cup, building our vocabulary and practising speaking and listening skills in a fun and engaging way.
In STEM, we continued planning our new football technology ideas. This encouraged us to think creatively, solve problems, and work collaboratively as part of a team.
In writing, we explored persuasive techniques by writing about the importance of including para sports in the Commonwealth Games. We focused on creating strong arguments and using persuasive language to express our opinions clearly.
In PATHS, we learned about Martin Luther King Jr. and discussed his impact on equality and fairness. This helped us reflect on important values such as respect, inclusion, and standing up for what is right.
