Primary 6a Wallacewell Primary

This week in Primary 6A!

Primary 6a has enjoyed a productive and engaging week across all areas of the curriculum. In literacy, the students sharpened their writing skills through a focus on recount writing and practiced creating concise summaries using their current class novel as source material.
Their mathematics learning involved practical applications of geometry, as they worked diligently to find the area and perimeter of various shapes using standard metric measurements. In Health and Wellbeing, the focus was on developing essential problem-solving skills for everyday situations.
The most hands-on learning occurred during their ongoing water topic. This week, the class participated in an interactive group project where they designed and constructed functional homemade water filters. This practical experiment provided a tangible demonstration of how impurities and debris can be effectively and quickly removed from water.
