What a great first term we have had in p4!
During our last week of the term we have been just as busy as always! In writing we worked on character descriptions and uplevelling our writing to give more detail and extra information. In Reading we finished our Novel study – The Hodgeheg and displayed our learning through sequencing tasks as well as creating storyboards to summarise and retell the story.
In Maths we have explored pattern in shapes, pictures and number sequences. As well as identifying correct coins to pay for items, we played a team game to help us with this. We have also been practicing ordering numbers and as always working on reinforcing our times tables with skip counting, games and bingo! We used our data handling skills to represent our favourite Scottish animals that we have been learning about in our topic. We created bar graphs to show this.
We also finished off some of our wonderful artwork from this term. In Paths we were learning about using the control signals to help us calm down and deal with big emotions.
Have a great October break!
