Primary 3b Wallacewell Primary

Another Week in P3B

We have had lots of fun this week!

In literacy we have started our new writing unit – Character. We have started by describing Matildas teacher Miss Honey. We have also started reading the book by Roald Dahl. We did our spelling as normal this week, looking at the sound ‘ie’. We also had our weekly spelling test which went very well.

In maths we have been reviewing our 2 and 5 timetables. We have been working on visualising the multiplication questions to help us in our understanding.

In Health and Wellbeing we have been learning about road safety. We created rules for crossing the road, 1. Stop 2. Look 3. Listen 4. Think 5. Wait or Cross. We have been really enjoying learning about how we can be safe when walking somewhere. We made a poster or a short story book to help show what we learnt.

On Thursday we had a very fun day! We had visitors from the common wealth games, including their new mascot ‘Finnie’, the giant magical unicorn. The class loved meeting Finnie! We also went to our local library for world book week, and we were able to each pick a book to take back to school and we return them in the new year.
