Last week we told you that we were going to collect plastic bottles in order to raise money to help save an endangered animal. This week we can tell you that we have overwhelmingly decided that that animal is the LION. We learned that there are a number of reasons why the lion is becoming endangered. Some of these include the illegal fur trade and poaching, the loss of habitat as humans start taking over the land the lions live on. They are also being affected by climate change and disease. The regulation of the legal trade in wildlife is poor and therefore not everyone is abiding by the rules.
This week we have begun our collection of plastic bottles. We have also been  making posters to raise awareness of our campaign.
