Primary 3b Wallacewell Primary

Welcome to P3b!

Good afternoon,

It has been an incredibly busy and enjoyable few weeks in P3b. It has been lovely getting to know the children!

In Literacy, we have continued our sounds with magic e and ay. We have been practicing using our words in sentences and elkonin boxes, as well as spelling strategies.

In Numeracy, we have been practicing our 2, 5 and 10 times tables using songs, sums and classroom resources. We also have looked at tally charts and bar charts.

We loved making artwork inspired by Tracey Keller (Australian artist), linked to our class novel The Enormous Crocodile. We used oil pastels and paints and had a lot of fun. In IDL, we continued our learning on Exotic Animals and discussed food chains of lions, crocodiles and penguins.

We are continuously referring to our class charter and the school charter (Ready, Safe, Respectful).

A polite reminder to please ensure that reading books are brought every day to school, as they are essential for Literacy learning in class. The children have been asked to always keep it in their bag, in their homework pack, unless they are reading it at home. Your support in ensuring the book goes straight back in the bag would be most appreciated.

Have a lovely weekend,

Miss Thomson
