This week we have continued with our IDL topic of Halloween. We have designed and completed a collage art piece of a pumpkin. We used orange paper to cut and glue squares to make our pumpkin design. During our open afternoon for Maths, we made number monsters with dienes. This week we also learned about the life cycle of plants; we created one for a pumpkin and discussed what plants need to go and thrive. On Halloween we looked at “haunted” settings and discussed what we would see, hear and smell if we were there.
We have continued our work on shape and have started our work on money.
During Eco this week we have been looking at ways to reduce our carbon footprint. We have been working in pairs to create a poster to show people how easy it is to be eco-friendly.
We have also designed and made emojis to show different emotions on our Health and Wellbeing Wall.
In PE we have been focusing on class games, working in a group and being a good loser and winner! We will be continuing to this during the next few weeks.
On Tuesday with Miss Newton, we designed, drew, and wrote about our monster. We also looked at counting in 3s as we are focusing on times table in maths.
