This week we have been having lots of fun settling into our new classroom with Mr McColl. We started our week by making our new class charter. We designed a star that showed our personality. We also played two truths and a lie to help us get to know our teacher better.

We have don’t some maths and literacy this week as well. We reviewed our topic on place value, making skeletons with dienes and we also worked on our estimation skills. In literacy we have been busy writing about our holiday adventures and our reading assessments.

We have also been extremely busy working on our RME topic on Diwali and our IDL topic on Halloween. We have been to our playroom to complete stations on our Halloween topic. We have also been busy making Diwali candles in art.

We also read a book called “The enormous crocodile” which we really enjoyed. Finally, we did some work in our Eco Group looking at renewable and non-renewable energy sources as it was international climate action day – trying to prevent global warming.
