Primary 3a Wallacewell Primary

Term 4

We’ve had a fantastic first week back after the holidays, made even better by the lovely weather, which allowed us to spend some time outdoors enjoying the sunshine.

This week, we introduced a new spelling sound and completed a comprehension activity focused on Earth Day, which took place on Wednesday. We also continued our work on procedural writing by creating clear instructions on how to make our favourite sandwiches.

In maths, we spent time revisiting different strategies for solving calculations. We also combined maths and art to create some beautiful butterfly designs, focusing on symmetry, varied patterns, and the use of contrasting hot and cold colours.

Finally, we discussed Earth Day and the importance of looking after our planet, sharing ideas about what we can all do to help protect it.
