This week in P3A, our learning has been all about Spring and Easter.

Literacy

In literacy, we continued practising how to add -s and -es to words to make plurals. We also worked on identifying key words to help us find answers during comprehension activities. To finish the week, we used our listening skills to learn all about Easter before sequencing the Easter story.

Maths

In maths, we have been learning about heavy and light, as well as exploring what we can use to measure weight. We also focused on a range of multiplication and division strategies throughout the week.

Other Learning

We have been very busy practising for our Easter showcase, and there is certainly lots to remember. Many of the children have already learned their lines and song words, which is fantastic. Please continue to practise these at home if you can.

The children also created beautiful spring flowers using shape and colour and enjoyed learning about Easter traditions in France. We also had our final couple of sessions with the football coach, who has been amazing.

Finally, I have been so impressed by all the wonderful and creative Easter bonnets the children have been bringing in—they look amazing! The children will be showcasing these at our Easter show, so if your child has not brought theirs in yet, please send it in on Monday or Tuesday.
