Week 2

This week we began our new topic on Scotland. We identified the eight Scottish cities on a map and learned some fascinating facts about Loch Ness.

Literacy
In literacy, we focused on making predictions before starting our new class novel. We also worked on identifying the difference between fact and opinion.

Maths
In maths, we started our learning on fractions. We explored how to make and identify halves and quarters.

Other Learning
This week, we enjoyed spending time in the creative play area playing Auld Lang Syne on the glockenspiel, matching Scottish landmarks, and making our own Nessie models. We also began creating our own Scottish kilts using paper weaving techniques.
