It’s been our first week back after the October break, and we’ve started lots of exciting new learning!

Literacy:
This week we focused on using a range of adjectives in our writing, thinking carefully about size, texture, and colour. We then used these skills to write a description of a beach setting, using our senses to help us visualise and bring our writing to life.

Numeracy:
In numeracy, we are focusing this term on multiplication and division. We began by recapping our 2 and 3 times tables and different strategies we can use to calculate multiplication problems.

R.E. and Art:
As it was Diwali this week, we learned the story of Rama and Sita and how they were guided home by the lanterns lit by the villagers. To celebrate, we created our own Diwali art lamps, decorated beautifully with golden glitter to shine brightly in our classroom 🪔 !
