Some fabulous art this week

This week, we continued developing our superhero characters, thinking carefully about their superpowers and the supervillains who might try to stop them. There were lots of wonderful and well thought out ideas shared. We then moved on to creating our own comic-style pop art pieces, which look fabulous displayed on our classroom walls.

To end our block of report writing, we looked at real-life superheroes—such as police officers, doctors, and firefighters—and explored the amazing work they do to help others.  In Literacy, we began learning about the differences between fiction and non-fiction texts.

In Maths, we’ve been working hard on using number lines and are becoming more confident counting in 2s from any number.  We then finished the week with our Health and Wellbeing Open Afternoon, where we created our own emojis to represent different emotions. It was so lovely to welcome so many visitors and share our learning with you all.
