A Fun Filled Week!

This week, we were very excited to welcome a zoo lab into school for a special visit. The children had the chance to see some fascinating animals up close, including a giant African snail, a snake, a desert mouse, and a tree frog.

We learned lots of interesting animal facts. The children discovered that tree frogs have special feet that help them climb, and that a frog’s eyes help it eat by guiding food into its mouth. Everyone listened carefully and asked some brilliant questions!

In the playroom, our learning took us back in time as we explored prehistoric animals. The children enjoyed digging for dinosaurs, carefully searching like real palaeontologists. They also used their creativity and teamwork skills to build towers, experimenting with balance and height.

In maths, we have been focusing on measuring length. The children explored comparing and measuring objects, using mathematical language such as longer, shorter, and taller during their activities
