What a fantastic end to Term One in P1B! 🌟
This week, we have been learning our new sounds ‘c’ and ‘k’, and we have even been introduced to the phoneme ‘ck’. We have been working hard to recognise and use these sounds in our reading and writing.
As part of our topic work, we have been exploring fairy-tale stories and are growing in confidence when identifying the beginning, middle and end of a story. We have enjoyed listening to and discussing different fairy tales and developing our understanding of story structure.
In Numeracy, we have continued to develop our understanding of symmetry and lines of symmetry. We have used a range of art activities and concrete materials to explore how shapes and patterns can be symmetrical, helping us to recognise and create our own symmetrical designs.
In the Playroom, we have loved our Enchanted Forest topic! 🌲✨ We have explored fairy-tale stories and had lots of fun role-playing using puppets, bringing our favourite characters and stories to life.
Well done, P1B, on a fantastic first term! We are so proud of all the learning, confidence and enthusiasm you have shown.
Have a wonderful break and enjoy some well-deserved rest!
