At Pollokshields Primary School we have an active and involved Parent Council who work throughout the year to provide fundraising opportunities for the school. Read on below for more information about the group and how you can get involved if you would like to volunteer.
Welcome to the Pollokshields Primary School Parent Council!
We are a group of parents and carers with children currently at the school. We meet every few weeks at the school. Our objectives, as written in our constitution, are:
- To work in partnership with the school to create a welcoming school, which is inclusive for all parents;
- To promote partnership between the school, its pupils and all its parents and for the betterment of the local community;
- To develop and engage in activities which support the education and welfare of the pupils;
- To identify and represent the views of parents on the education provided by the school and other matters affecting the education and welfare of the pupils.
Regular activities include:
- Raising funds for the school by helping with the school’s annual Gala Bazaar and other fund-raising events;
- Assisting with events involving parents in the school including Sports Day.
