For the past few weeks and over the next few the Caledonia Centre has been training students from S3 to S6 on Car Valeting. A professional car valeting training team has come to the school on Tuesday mornings and the students have been trained by the team with 2 or 3 staff members having their cars cleaned.
The S6 Class has been running it as an enterprise scheme as part of Personal Development and Car Valeting National Course with invoices given to staff to contribute to part of the cost. One of the S3 students has been described by James (the Car Valeting Instructor) as one of the best pupils he has ever seen. The student’s ability to take leadership and their attention to deal has been outstanding. James has taught over 7000 pupils and he is very impressed.
The students have very much enjoyed the car valeting and have looked forward to every session. Mr Anderson from the Caledonia Centre said that a wonderful job had been done on his car, it was beautifully clean and shiny, inside and out.

If you are planning to apply to college on the Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, and have selected this on your Column B of your options, the applications are now open.

There will be an information evening for all parents/carers of S2 pupils attending the Holland trip on Wednesday 26th March at 6.30pm in the school assembly hall.

We are aware of the increasing number of young people arriving late each morning and the impact this has on learning and teaching.
