Attendance Matters Every Day

Every school day makes a difference. By making sure your child goes to school every day, you’re helping them build a bright future and reach their full potential.

What supports do we offer if you or your child need help getting into school?

Your first point of contact for support regarding any concerns over attendance is your child’s Pupil Support Teacher. They will work in partnership with young people and parents/carers to create and implement a plan to support young people to attend school.

Pupils support food bank

Well done to some of our fantastic pupils who went out to support one of the local food banks this week. Young people were commended for how well they represented our school a great help to the food bank team.

Thanks to Mr Khan for organising this opportunity!

Construction Aware Programme

Over the last couple of months, 10 of our S3 pupils have been taking part in the Construction Aware programme created by DYW Glasgow in partnership with FARE Scotland, and co-designed with industry leaders such as McTaggart Construction, CCG, and A.C. Whyte.

The pupils visited 7 construction-related organisations and live sites, getting a real feel for the industry from pre- to post-construction! Through hands-on activities, they explored key skills used in the field and heard inspiring career stories from industry professionals.

To top it off, they successfully completed the program and earned an SCQF 3 Work Aware qualification!

A huge well done to everyone involved!

Baking Together

It was lovely to have some of our fabulous MCR mentors join with their mentees for a baking session yesterday.

Thanks to Mr Khan for organising and Mrs Walker and Miss Haines for sharing their wonderful jammie dodger recipes!

Great job Lucy Hewes (S4, Skye), Kaelyn Harris (S5, Mull), Phoenix Lickrish (S3, Lewis) and Ava!
