This is a reminder to encourage any interested young people to apply by 5pm on Tuesday 31st March for a new work experience opportunity that we’re offering to S5/6 pupils in Glasgow (all the information is in the attached document if that’s easier for spreading the word). This is aimed at pupils from the Glasgow area who may be interested in a career in engineering, infrastructure or the built environment.

WSP are one of the world’s top professional services firms, bringing together some of the brightest engineers, advisors and scientists from across the globe. Staff in our Glasgow office work on diverse, multidisciplinary projects covering a range of services About WSP | Top global engineering consulting solutions | WSP

This is an ideal opportunity for any young person considering a UCAS application in a related discipline, supporting their responses to why they want to study their chosen course and what experiences they have outside of education. They will have the chance to work on a variety of engineering and infrastructure tasks, guided by our Early Careers Professionals and STEM Ambassadors. The pupils will be expected to work in groups with those from other schools, developing their communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills. They will work on a project-based task, engaging in discussion, research and designing solutions and will present to a panel of senior staff at the end of the week.

We are offering 10 places on our work experience week which will run from Monday 8th June to Friday 12th June, from 10am to 4pm each day at our Glasgow office, 110 Queen Street, G1 3BX. Please share this opportunity as widely as possible.
