A group of 42 pupils from S2 and S3 recently enjoyed an exciting trip with their Graphics, Design & Manufacture, and Practical Woodworking classes to the Forth Bridge Education Centre.
The day focused on a team engineering challenge, where pupils worked in groups to design and build sections of a bridge. Once completed, the individual sections were carefully joined together to create the final structure. This hands-on activity encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity, with pupils seeing their hard work come together in an impressive finished design.
The trip was organised by Mr O’Donnelly, with fantastic support from Miss Linning, Mr McKenzie, and Miss Stevens. A big thank you goes to the staff for making the experience possible.
One of the highlights of the day was the opportunity to walk the bridges together in beautiful sunshine, giving everyone a chance to admire their achievement as a group.
Well done to all of the pupils involved – a fantastic day of learning, collaboration, and fun!
