5-Family-Payments-School-Age-Payment-poster
School Age Payment applications close for children who were born between 1 March 2016 and 28 February 2017.
The payment is £252.50 per child to help families with the costs associated with a child starting at Primary School.
People who get tax credits or certain benefits are encouraged to apply.
Parents or carers who have deferred their child’s entry to school from August 2021 to August 2022, or those home schooling, must still apply before the 28 February closing date or they will lose out on their payment.

We know the payment can make a real difference and any help you can give us to inform parents, guardians and families would be greatly appreciated.
If you have any questions or queries please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
PEEK Street Play
School might be closed but Street Play is still on. Due to our February Holiday, Street Play will be moving for one week only!
Come along to Ibrox Terrace on Monday 14th February from 12-2pm for the usual Street Play fun. Please note food will also be provided and all are welcome. The following week, Mon 21st, we wil lbe back in our playground at the usual time.
Guidance has changed, just prior to our Christmas break, surrounding how parents will be notified of a positive case in the school community.
As before children mixing in schools are deemed to be ‘low risk contacts’ and would not need to isolate unless contacted by Test and Protect.
We will now send out the attached letter on our school app which will be available to all but will clearly identify the class where a positive case has been confirmed. Please read the letter and take notice of the recommendation that public health are advising, where possible, that children in identified classes take a lateral flow test before returning to school.

P7 Hoodies
All P7 children should have received a text message regarding ordering a leavers hoodie along with a letter. The last date to order these is Friday 10th December. If you are wanting to order after this date the template will need to be remade so there will be an additional cost.
Miss Hendry has organised the hoodies with the company, if you have any queries please call the school office and ask to speak to her between 9am and 1pm.
Panto Visit
Tomorrow the whole school will be walking to the Pearce Institute in Govan to see their pantomime, ‘A Christmas Carol.’
Children will have an early lunch and be escorted by school staff to walk to Govan Cross and back. Children do not need to bring anything with them and will be back at school for normal leaving times at end of day.
Please ensure your child has sensible footwear and a warm and waterproof jacket for the walk there and back as there are snow and strong winds forecast. We will assess the weather prior to leaving school and if we feel children and staff would be at risk we will cancel the trip.
A thorough Covid Risk Assessment has been carried out with the venue.
