It was lovely to see our new P1 parents on Friday to discuss how the first week had gone and answer any questions. We would like to invite parents of our older children to join us in the playground, to ask any questions they may have, at the above times. If you have children in different year groups please attend the session which suits best.

Outdoor Learning for Term 1
Please see attached information for our Outdoor Learning timetable this term.
Children who are at the park all day will be provided with a packed lunch from the dinner hall or can bring their own.
All P2 children (including those in P1/2) will go to the park on Friday.
Please ensure children come suitably dressed to learn outside as we visit the park in all weathers.
Photo permission
Morning all,
It was lovely to see everyone looking so happy and smart this morning. We have a new consent form for photo permission (see attached document) which is now required in Glasgow schools.
This consent allows children to be photographed/videoed and the images/film used on our school communication channels. At Ibrox all staff use Twitter, Showbie, we have our school app, Youtube channel, and blog (our website.) As you will be aware we love to share our learning and it is a great way of showing all our wonderful work, giving you an insight to what happens in your child’s classroom. The new social media consent form will be sent home today. Please sign this and return ASAP- by Friday 20th August at latest, as until we have the forms back we are unable to share photos on any of our platforms.
If you wish to discuss any aspect of this please call the school and ask to speak to me.
Kind Regards
Mrs Chalmers

School closes tomorrow at 1pm for the start of our Summer Holidays. In order to allow us to still stagger finish times P1-3 will be dismissed at 12:50pm and P4-7 will be dismissed at 1pm
There will be a guard of honour for our P7 leavers in the upper playground with children from P4, P5 and P6 lining the front of the sheds. Please note children will remain in class bubbles.
P7 will leave through the front door before heading through the guard of honour towards Edminston Drive. They will then exit from the big gate (usual exit.)
Please remember to wear a face mask and maintain physical distancing on collection of children. We are unable to allow any adults into the playground.
Super Euro Sports Day
We will be holding a sports day on Tuesday afternoon with all children walking to Bellahouston Park in their classes to take part in some Euro themed activities.
Please note that children will remain within their class bubble and we are unable to have parents watching due to covid restrictions.
Children can come to school dressed in any sportswear they wish. Each class has selected a country to represent and your child may wish to wear a colour associated with this country if they wish. Please do not feel the need to purchase new clothing in a particular colour, this is not required.
