Blairvadach Day 3

Last night we did Nightline. It was a team game we had to play in the dark. We had a bucket of water and were all blindfolded and attached to a rope in a line with our team. We had to make our way along the rope and watch for obstacles like a crate and people who were splashing us with water. It was slippy and a bit fun we worked as a team. You really didn’t know where you were going so it was quite scary. Abbie

Today we went to Succoth Hills to go scrambling. It was like an obstacle course with lots of water and we had to slide through little gaps in the rock. Sometimes we had to go down on our tummy, sometimes we had to put our foot on Fran’s hand. He always went first to show us what to do. We learnt the rocks were all on top of each other because of the ice age. It took us about 45 minutes to get down all the gaps in the rocks. It was really wet and quite muddy. The path back to the van had lots of puddles and mud which we jumped in. Fran gave us all hot chocolate to warm up before driving home. We didn’t get lunch till 245 then we did some indoor climbing in the afternoon. Marium, Ross and Areefa

Today the weather has been a bit more challenging with high winds and heavy rain disrupting some of the planned afternoon activities. All the children still managed out and about for most of the day with a few groups adding to their new skills with a bit more indoor climbing later on this afternoon. It has been an absolute pleasure sending time with the children and each and every one of them has been an absolute credit to their parents and Ibrox. All the children are embracing new challenges, pushing themselves out their comfort zones and managing to smile while doing it. Rooms are being tidied, beds made, meals tidied up after and lockers organised with kit- lots of skills the children can bring home along with amazing memories! I hope the end of the week is as fantastic as the start and I look forward to hearing all about it when you are back. Thank you for letting me share some of your adventure. Mrs Chalmers x

This morning we did the gorge walk. Its was very wet and quite cold. When you were just walking it was OK but then the deeper bits made it colder. At the end there was the waterfall and you could make it go up to your chest if you wanted. This afternoon we did the hard indoor climbing on the wall. I go to the fourth wall which was really tricky one. I think that doing the climbing today and yesterday helped me be better at it.  Zainab and Emma
