P4c Week!

In Primary 4c we have had a marvellous week gaining lots of new learning.

In maths this week we have been learning about weight. We have learned that there are different scales you can use to measure weight. The heavier side of a scale goes down and the lighter side goes up. We also learned the units for weight including Kilograms (kg) and Grams (g).

In science we have learned about materials. We have been learning about the 3 states of matter. They are solids, gases and liquids. Solids stay the same if you move them. Liquids have freedom to move. Gases have more space than liquids to move around. We pretended we were atoms and acted out a solid by standing really close together, for liquids we were moving around, and for a gas only 4 people walked around to show how much freedom they have.

This week was also our last week training with a football coach. We played lots of games including football, we played banana tig, and lots more fun games.

Adam B ” I have learned how to do skills properly and how to control the ball properly.”

Samir “I gained a new skill as a goalie.”

Mohammad “In football I was getting faster.”

Roberto “Football was amazing!”

We learned about charities and giving gifts to each other. We wrote our gifts that we share with the class on a present to show what gifts we all bring to the class. We also wrote a thank you letter to people who have helped us. We listened to and learned a song to help us understand that there are different types of gifts, not just presents.

We have attached our song so that you can sing it too! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8vfPPfQ0bo
