Haiku’s in 6C

Today in primary 6C we were learning about Haiku. A haiku is a Japanese poem which only has three lines,  a 5-7-5 syllable structure and a theme.  Here are some  examples of our wonderful haiku written about The Highland Clearances:

Crofts are in ashes

Homeless children cry for food

Lost, lonely, depressed

By Mariam

Sheep take over land

As our blackhouses were burned

Now we lay on shores

By Saoirse
